Copyright Statements

1. Overview

All of the academic papers found on this site are subject to copyright restrictions. This page provides an overview of what those restrictions mean.

For each paper posted on ACE's web site, the paper has been posted at the explicit request of one or more of the co-authors. In all cases, the papers are not posted on this web site for any commercial gain; they are posted to enable academic use only. All of the statements below are re-inforcing that simple message, i.e., that the works must not be copied for commercial advantage and are only available for 'normal academic use'.

Some general restrictions apply to all the papers on this site (see section 2. General Restrictions and Permissions). Additionally, where a paper's copyright is held by someone other than the authors, further copyright restrictions apply. These further restrictions are summarised also (see section 3. Specific Restrictions and Permissions)

2. General Restrictions and Permissions

Subject to not contravening any further copyright restrictions (see section 3. Specific Restrictions and Permissions) the authors of these papers grant permission to make digital or hard copies of part or all of these papers for personal or classroom use only, without fee, provided that:- Abstracting with credit is permitted. To copy otherwise, to republish, to post on servers, or to redistribute to lists requires prior specific permission.

3. Specific Restrictions and Permissions

These restrictions and permissions are provided by the copyright holder (usually the original publisher). None of the permissions mentioned here are allowed to override any of the restrictions described in section 2.
